‘One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.’ – Bob Marley
While regular attendees are familiar with Steve Sedergreen who has played here a number of times, some of you may not know that the Sedergreen name is synonymous with Australian Jazz.
Fresh from their national tour, join iconic father & son combo Bob & Steve Sedergreen, with special guest Ashley Gaudion, providing saxophone sounds as well as vocals. Expect a performance rich in jazz and familial joviality, with statesman Bob at the piano, and Steve on keyboard.

Bob is a true Australian jazz legend, and winner of the prestigious Bell Jazz Award (2018). He has worked with Australian jazz greats – John Sangster, Don Burrows, Brian Brown and supported US jazz greats, Nat Adderley, Dizzy Gillespie, Phil Woods and Milt Jackson.
Steve, following in his father’s footsteps, has featured at all major clubs and festivals around the country over the last four decades, having forged his own reputation as one of the country’s most respected and in-demand jazz pianists, alongside being director and curator of iconic Melbourne jazz club Dizzy’s in the early 2000s. Our piano which resides in our living room, was the resident piano at the iconic Dizzy’s jazz club where it was played by many well known national and international musicians.

Ashley Gaudion has been surrounded by local and international jazz and blues artists all his life. He honed his musical talents from a very young age, and is now well-established as one of Australia’s predominant jazz and blues vocalists and saxophonists. Son of the well-known jazz trumpet player Peter Gaudion, he has played and sung with many of Australia’s finest musicians.
